Free Smoke Alarms Install or Home Safety Risk Assessment
Unload your aluminum cans in our recycling can trailer that is located in the parking lot of the fire station, and you’ll be helping both the environment and a child. 100% of the proceeds from our aluminum can sales are donated to the North Carolina Jaycee’s Burn Center in Chapel Hill. Since the inception of our commitment to this cause in the early 90’s, over $20,000.00 has been donated to the Burn Center, and we remain compassionate and committed to this cause.
We are excited to begin 2025 with a new tool to add to our Community Risk Reduction mission. Our friends at Cumberland County Emergency Services have provided us with the link below which allows our citizens to request new smoke alarms for their homes. In case you weren’t aware, every fire department in Cumberland County participates in a program designed to provide every home in our county with working smoke alarms, free of charge to our citizens.
